What should I do if Windows 11 Smart App Control (SAC) blocks the installer?

Windows 11 Smart App Control (SAC) may block SaySo-1.2.2-x64.exe if the app has not yet passed Microsoft cloud reputation checks or signature validation, which triggers system protection.

Try the following options in order (from safer to riskier):

  1. 1. Temporarily unblock the file: locate the installer in your Downloads folder, right-click it, open Properties > General, check Unblock, then click Apply/OK and run it again.
  2. 2. Add a file exclusion: Settings > Privacy & security > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Manage settings > Add or remove exclusions > Add an exclusion > File, then select the installer.
  3. 3. Turn off Smart App Control: Settings > Privacy & security > Windows Security > App & browser control > Smart App Control settings, choose Off, then restart your PC.
  4. 4. Disable via PowerShell (Administrator): right-click Start > Windows Terminal (Admin), run Disable-SmartAppControl -Force then press Enter and restart to apply.

Safety notes:

  1. 1. Verify that the installer source is trustworthy before making any security exceptions.
  2. 2. To re-enable SAC later, use the original settings page or run Enable-SmartAppControl.
How can I quickly fix unresponsive keys on Mac?

1. Quick diagnosis:

If typing works in a text editor, it is likely app-specific. If keys fail everywhere, connect an external keyboard first to separate software vs hardware issues.

2. Common causes:

Input method conflicts, accidentally enabled accessibility options, missing permissions, or shortcut conflicts.

3. Core fixes:

  1. (1). Reset input method settings (System Settings/Preferences > Keyboard).
  2. (2). Check Accessibility and turn off Sticky Keys / Slow Keys.
  3. (3). Fix permissions (Privacy & Security > Accessibility, enable the target app).
  4. (4). Reset NVRAM: restart while holding Option + Command + P + R.
  5. (5). Remove and re-pair your Bluetooth keyboard.

4. Hardware check:

If an external keyboard works but the built-in one does not, the built-in keyboard is likely a hardware issue. Butterfly-keyboard models may qualify for Apple’s free repair program.
